Here be Dragons is often asked to provide ‘look alike’ performers for historical productions. Ellis, and the other professional actors who work with him, have recently been enjoying an increasing amount of TV work. Ellis has personally featured in a number of roles notably in the title role of ‘George IV’ in the ‘BBC Knowledge’ series Kings in Waiting, as ‘Henry VIII’ for History File for the ‘BBC Learning Zone’, as a Magic Lantern showman on BBC’s Blue Peter, and as ‘Dr Francis Willis’ in Royal Deaths and Diseases for ‘Channel 4’.


We have recently provided numerous performers for two major partworks on the British Monarchy serialised by the Mail Newspaper. These included Ellis as ‘George IV’ in summer 2002 and ‘Henry VIII’ in spring 2003. Amongst the other characters portrayed by
Here be Dragons performers for these features were George III, Charles II, Nell Gwynn, Edward VII, Lady Coyningham, Sir Walter Ralegh, Francis Drake, Mary Tudor, Katherine Parr, Shakespeare, Marlow, Lord Burghley and others.
